    At the time this portrait was composed, Mrs. Alvarez was married to movie mogul, Charles K. Feldman. A legendary manager to film stars such as John Wayne, Claudette Colbert and Lauren Bacall, Feldman also produced several major motion pictures including What's New, Pussycat?, Casino Royale, The Seven Year Itch, The Glass Menagerie and A Streetcar Named Desire.
