Condition Report*: We would like to thank Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc., New York for the below condition report: Although the lining is poor and the retouches sloppily applied, the condition of this work is generally very good. If the lining were reversed and properly applied, the raised cracking and all of the distortions caused to the paint layer  by the lining (particular in the male figure) would be eliminated and the need for retouches would be greatly reduced. At present, although the figures and the decorative elements show no retouches, the background has received numerous retouches to try to reduce the cracking. If the lining is addresses, these will mostly be unnecessary. There is visible instability in the white background above the head of the woman and above the cat. There are raised cracking and distortions to the paint layer throughout the figures. There are some pain losses along the bottom edge. Framed Dimensions 35 X 27.5 Inches
