Condition Report*:
Unlined canvas. Moderate craquelure to the sleeve of the figure. Quarter-inch area of paint loss to the lower edge below the signature. Painting has been restored. Under UV examination, there is heavy overpainting of certain areas: the figure’s hair, lower face, and background around her feet and under her skirt. Certain outlines are also reinforced, such as those around her hands/arms, skirt, and bench leg. A second signature has been added on top of the original.
