Condition Report*: Wax lined canvas. Minor frame abrasion at edges. An old loss, stabilized with varnish, to lower right corner, affecting the 'zo' of the signature. Finely patterned craquelure throughout. A few scattered scuffs. Surface dust. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: very heavily applied varnish fluoresces green, somewhat obscuring the picture surface. A few small brushy dots of retouching to the sky at upper left. Retouching to the aforementioned loss in lower right corner. A very few pinpoints of retouching to the foreground. An area of newer varnish fluoresces as a drippy line running vertically through the tree at right, the height of the work. This area is only slightly visible to the naked eye at the edges of this varnish layer.
Framed Dimensions 30.25 X 26.25 Inches
