Condition Report*: Panel displays some warping at irregular angles. A diagonal crack on the reverse with an area of repair near its mid-point. Scattered instances of frame abrasion at edges, revealing the underlayer of white paint. Slight yellowing to the varnish layer. Finely patterned craquelure throughout. A very few pinholes at irregular intervals at edges, not visible when framed. A very few scattered pinpoint dots of loss and of discolored accretion. Mild surface dirt and dust.
Under UV: heavily applied varnish fluoresces green unevenly, somewhat obscuring the picture surface in lower half of the work. Considerable but finely applied dots and dashes of retouching in the sky and at edges. More brushy retouching applied to the landscape in lower half of the work.
Framed Dimensions 15 X 18.25 X 2.25 Inches
