Condition Report*:
December 1914 (two elephants): unlined canvas; light craquelure and surface dirt throughout. A pin-point area of flaking on the elephant's upper trunk. A 2 x 3-inch area of inpaint on the top left edge with small minor areas to the right which appear to partially address previous areas of flaking. A 4-inch area of inpaint on the upper left extreme edge/corner. A 6 x 2.5-inch area of inpaint in the center quadrant to the left of the elephant's head and multiple minor areas to the right. The vine on the center and center left quadrants has possibly been added. July 1914 (one elephant): unlined canvas; light craquelure and surface dirt throughput. Minor area of flaking on the lower left edge. UV examination reveals: Multiple small areas of inpaint in the lower center quadrant. Multiple small areas of inpaint to the right of elephant's head- the largest being a 2-inch area partially covering the elephant's left tusk. Framed Dimensions 30 X 26.75 Inches
