Condition Report*:
On stable panel. Yellowing to the varnish layer. Surface dirt and dust. Finely patterned craquelure throughout. Frame abrasion and minor associated losses to extreme edges. A few scattered pinpoint losses. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: heavily applied varnish fluoresces green unevenly. A very few dots and dashes of finely applied retouching, primarily to the figure of the boy. Brushy retouching to bottom right corner. Reinforcement to left half of the 'A' in signature at lower left corner.
