The Comité Edouard Cortès has confirmed the authenticity of this painting, which will be included in Edouard Cortès: Catalogue raisonné de l'oeuvre peint under no. EC-CEC-2025/44. The lot is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the Comité.

Condition Report*:
Lined canvas. Mild frame abrasion at edges. Slight yellowing to the varnish layer near edges. A few scattered instances of faint craquelure. A dot of discolored varnish at lower edge in lower right corner. A few additional pinpoint dots of discolored accretion scattered throughout. Minor surface dust. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. Brushy retouching at left and lower edges. Two dots of retouching near left edge.
