    We would like to thank Nicole Verdier for confirming the authenticity of this painting, which will be included in her forthcoming Volume III of Edouard Cortès, Catalogue raisonné de l'oeuvre peint. The lot is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Arnot Gallery, New York.
