This work was published as the front cover of Enterprise II by James Blish, which was the first German publication of a series of stories originally published in Bantam Book's Star Trek 8. This book was part of a series of works Eddie Jones created illustrating stories within the Star Trek universe written by James Blish, used to create buzz for Star Trek beginning to screen in Germany (where it was known as Enterprise).
