Bergey's science fiction pulp covers are quite rare and extremely sought after by collectors. This stunning painting is simply one of the finest examples in existence.
Condition Report*:
Presents very well overall. Wax-lined canvas; faint minor craquelure visible in the blue painted areas; under UV examination, areas of inpainting, some most likely to address repairs, including an approximate 12-inch diagonal line from upper extreme left edge to center right extreme top edge (visible under raking light), several approximate 1-inch horizontal lines along extreme left edge, an approximate 7-inch diagonal line from lower extreme left edge to center left bottom edge (visible under raking light), a dime-sized spot at center left extreme bottom edge, two small vertical lines in woman's left arm, and small, minor flecks of cosmetic inpainting scattered throughout composition. Framed to an overall size of 29.25 x 20.25 inches.
