Dan Blagg comes from a family with deep roots in the Texas art community. His work has been shown in over forty solo and group exhibitions, including ones at Gerald Peters Gallery, Artspace 111, and William Campbell Contemporary Art. His paintings are found in private and permanent museum collections around the state, including the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, The Grace Museum, and the Old Jail Art Center. He is best known for his hyper-realistic approach to both rural and historical urban Texas landscapes. Blagg focuses on the tension between formal abstraction and a faithful rendering of every detail of the subject.
