This is a unique, original, single use image, in where the artist has used a mixed media collage and tear technique on museum grade canvas with thick heavy layering, acrylics and spray paint with DAINs trademarked eye drip.

DAIN has emerged as one of the most influential urban artists to emerge from New York. DAIN combines the visual language of graffiti with collaged old portraits of Hollywood glamour stars. Crossing genres and often working single pieces back and forth between the street and studio, DAIN combines wheat pasting, silk-screening, spray paint, collage, and acrylic. His process begins with a black-and-white photo that he layers with old advertisements collect off NYC streets, printed fragments, logos, and miscellaneous smaller images. He then begins adding paint; finishing with his unmistakable and trademarked "circle and drip" around the eye of his subjects. DAIN views his work as a confrontation between the destructive gestures of graffiti and the femininity of his Hollywood subjects. His works were exhibited in collectives and solo shows in Paris, Berlin, Rome, Miami and New York City. His work is included in the permanent collection of the Urban Nation Museum for Urban Contemporary Art in Berlin, alongside artists such as Banksy and Invader. In 2018, DAIN was commissioned for public mural projects in New York City by fashion and apparel companies including Coach, Puma, and other corporate headquarters respectively.
