This native tanned buffalo hide gun case is decorated at the muzzle end and butt end with geometric patterns using both glass seed beads and red wool trade cloth as design elements. The muzzle end has long buffalo hide fringe in typical Crow fashion. This gun case is emblematic of the lavishly ornamented accoutrements of the Crow warrior.
