Condition Report*:
Lined canvas. Frame abrasion at edges. Yellowing to the varnish layer. Finely patterned craquelure throughout. Several scattered surface abrasions. A vertical scratch, approximately 4-inches in length, in lower left quadrant, infilled with gold paint. Additional small losses, scratches, and surface abrasions scattered throughout. Some instances of whiteish accretion. Surface dirt and dust. This lot is offered unframed.
Under UV: heavily applied varnish fluoresces green unevenly, preventing close examination of the picture surface. Some scattered instances of brushy retouching appear near edges.
