An important image in the the series, 'Store Front: The Disappearing Face of New York,' this work monumentalizes one of New York's most overlooked features. In the book 'Store Front,' James and Karla Murray lovingly photograph mom-and-pop shops marked by graffiti and character. This work features a meticulously photographed storefront that was printed at close to life-size scale and installed on the Gawker Media roof, for an exhibition entitled MOM & POPism, curated by Billi Kid reinterpreting James and Karle Murray's book. The large-scale photographic storefronts became canvases on which selected graffiti artists were invited to leave their marks. This pasta shop was layered with work by street artists like Buildmore, Morgan Thomas and Blanco Love Pasta!.
