This scene was painted for Man and the Moon, plate XIX, The World Publishing Company, Cleveland, 1961. A note written on the back of the art reads, "This is the original - after getting it back from engraver (printer) C. altered it slightly and cut bottom off - engraver cut off the side in printing."
