A Gorham Company Founders bronze high relief bust of an American Indian chief with long hair, a braid on each side, wearing a detailed feathered headdress, a substantial beaded necklace, and a three-dimensional braided silver earring, mounted on its original wood frame with woodburned Indian motifs, including a buffalo head, quivers and arrows, and shields. Dated 1887, and one of only two known; the only one with the woodburned frame surround.
