Built by master craftsman, Carl Bechstein, Bechstein pianos were created to meet the exacting demands of mid-19th century virtuosi. Bechstein not only became one of the industry leaders for concert pianos, but also emerged as the premier piano maker for embassies, aristocracies and royalty. Bechstein manufacturers were so proud of this fact that they placed a list of royal clients on the soundboard of each piano they created, a custom which was continued until World War II. Contemporarily, Bechstein pianos have been used by artists including The Beatles, Elton John and Bob Dylan.

Bechstein pianos are known for their rich, clear sound and wide dynamic range. All Bechstein pianos use Abel or Renner hammers and solid European spruce soundboards. Appraised Value: $16,900

The Bechstein Grand Piano will close online on October 16th at 10PM and will not be offered in Treasure Street live auction. Winner is responsible for delivery costs from Dallas, Texas. For more information, contact Jeri Carroll, JeriC@HA.com or 214-409-1873.
