Best known for his paintings of New England coastal scenes, Arthur Diehl was a British artist who exhibited at the Royal Academy before coming to the United States in the 1890s. Because he was such a prominent artist in Cape Cod, Fox Movietone produced a short film of him painting in Provincetown in 1921.
