Apache Coiled Pictorial Basket
Circa 1920
Height 16 3/8 in. Diameter 14 1/4 in.

This large, tightly coiled olla has a barrel shaped body, rounded shoulder, and flaring neck. The basket is decorated with a variety of geometric devices including squares within squares, checkered diamonds, and diamonds with interior crosses. In addition, there are human figures and quadrupeds (likely horses and dogs) scattered throughout.
