Condition Report*:
Glue lined canvas, paint film in stable condition. UV examination reveals older varnish that has been selectively cleaned in areas of the girl's sleeve and upper zone of her red skirt, the highlighted parts of the boy's face, the head of the doll he owns and the toy in extreme right corner. There are a few scattered touches of inpaint on the children. Older varnish obscures a reading of any older restoration although there is unobstrusive evidence of a repair to the right of the girl's head in the background, and on the brown wall in the upper right quadrant, possibly addressing an old tear or stretcher bar crease prior to the painting having been lined.
