PROVENANCE:
(Presumably in the group sent by Rice for exhibition in America in 1914 and subsequently dispersed);
Private collection, New Jersey, acquired at public auction, circa 1970;
Hollis Taggart Galleries, Inc., New York, acquired from the above;
Acquired by the present owner from the above, 1999.
Condition Report*:
Presents well. Board displays slight convex bowing. Minor frame abrasion at edges. Slight yellowing to the varnish layer. Scattered instances of faint craquelure, with a few areas of slightly more pronounced pigment separation. A small area of flaking near center in lower left quadrant. A very few scattered pinpoint losses. Minor surface dust. Not examined out of frame.
