PROVENANCE:
Galería Botello, San Juan, Puerto Rico;
Private collection, Fair Lawn, New Jersey, acquired from the above, 2007;
By descent to the present owner.
NOTE:
This lot is accompanied by a copy of the certificate of authenticity from Juan Botello, dated June 30, 2012, and by a copy of Botello, Angel Botello Barros, produced for Galería Botello, 1988.
Condition Report*:
On stable, cradled panel. Pencil underdrawings are visible in some areas where paint is more thinly applied, inherent to production process. Two small losses, one in the upper left corner, the other on the forehead of the rightmost figure. A few scattered small dots of discolored accretion, possibly varnish, most visible at left edge and in the white and light gray areas of the background. Not examined out of frame due to size. Book: excellent condition, enclosed in original cellophane wrapping.
