AN ACOMA PICTORIAL POLYCHROME JARc. 1900
painted in orange and black over a chalky white slip, the square body with pairs of mountain lions on each of the four sides, surmounted by a chain of diamonds, each enclosing a checkered panel on the neck, panels of small diamonds beneath the fluted rim, orange underbody
Height: 8 ½ inches
Condition Report*:
In overall fair condition. No major breaks or cracks. Two chips on the rim. Surface with substantial loss on two sides and on the neck, affecting the painted design. Otherwise, surface with moderate wear, including dings and abrasions affecting the painted design. Orange underbody with areas of paint loss. No apparent restoration.
