Description

A UMATILLA BEADED CLOTH MODEL CRADLE

c. 1890

composed of woven wool blanket decorated with beaded circular elements, enclosing doll with beaded facial features and horsehair coiffure, mounted on a wood board

Length: 13 inches

Condition Report*: Overall good condition with moderate wear and soiling. Cloth wrap with approx. 10 tiny areas of fabric loss. Fading on fabric on front. Border cloth worn and frayed on feet. Beading with minor losses. Wood frame chipped on foot end. No restoration apparent.
