A Napoleon III Gilt Bronze Champlevé Enameled Clock, circa 1870
Marks to backplate of mechanism: HP & Co, (Japy Freres Medal)
17-1/4 inches high x 10 inches wide x 7 inches deep (43.8 x 25.4 x 17.8 cm)

The gilt clock surmounted by floral urn embellished with champlevé drapery, rounded Mansard-style roof embellished with champlevé down to case with urn-and-torch finials, lower case with champlevé decoration throughout, neoclassical caryatid mounts flanking central clock face, down to molded stepped base, raised on toupie feet.
