    A FRENCH ENAMEL AND GILT BRONZE CASKET
    Probably Limoges, France, circa 1900
    Unmarked
    3-1/2 x 9 x 7 inches (8.9 x 22.9 x 17.8 cm)

    The oval casket with inset enamel on copper plaque depicting a sleeping maiden on a park bench with a gentleman gazing over her. Six engraved plaques surround the exterior sides, gilt bronze mounts at top and base with beaded border, hinged lid opens to an upholstered interior.
