    This is one of the most important J. C. Leyendecker Post covers we have ever had the pleasure of offering. The painting was reproduced on pages 157 and 204 of the monograph J. C. Leyendecker by Laurence and Judy Cutler, Abrams, 2008.

    Condition Report*: Very minor points of strengthening around pedestal in lower region, original inscription on pedestal reading "Thanksgiving" has been overpainted, otherwise very good condition.
