    Condition Report*: Scattered craquelure, particularly in central portion of composition; stretcher crease along top edge; surface scratch with minor paint loss through signature; scattered surface abrasions in background, particularly along extreme edges, that have been in-filled with a water-based paint; under UV examination, a 2" horizontal line of in-painting on base of boy's neck, a 1.5" vertical line along his left shoulder blade, several dots on his right, and one dot on his cheek.
