    This illustration appeared on the dustjacket of Peter B. Kyne's novel, Never the Twain Shall Meet, Cosmopolitan Book Corporation, 1923.
    This piece was also reproduced on page 37 of Dean Cornwell, Dean of Illustrators by Patricia Broder, Balance House, 1978.

    Condition Report*: Stretcher crease visible; canvas loose on stretcher; abrasions to edges of canvas; scattered craquelure and areas of paint loss throughout.  UV examination reveals scattered areas of inpainting along cream background; overall areas of strengthening with hairline inpainting to man's face.  Framed to an overall size of  35 x 52.5 in.
