    Condition Report*: No visible signature; heavily re-varnished original canvas with fine overall craquelure and more visible vertical craquelure (almost like ribbing) in sky region; a 2" circular area of repair in upper right sky (marked on canvas verso by a 3 x 3" patch); scattered tiny paint flecks (or accretions) in sky region, most corresponding to in-painting, and in central mountain region and in bank of trees and mountain along lower right edge; minor scuffing in lower right corner. Under UV examination:  new in-painting (darker fluorescing areas):  2" circular region in upper right sky (repair noted above); 1 ½" line along top central edge; approximately 25 tiny scattered dots in sky region; 2" diagonal line in upper left sky; possible varnish drip and discoloration in upper central sky; ½" line in mountain region; old in-painting (beneath thick varnish layer):  2" circular area in lower left background foliage (above lowest tree branch); in-filled cracks in lower left foliage (spanning roughly 4 x 7"); additional 3 x 4" region of scattered in-painting in lower left foliage; minor spot in figure's coat; possible 2" linear reinforcing of green "log" to the left of figure; 1 x 4" region in ground cover below railing along lower right edge; possible 3 x 5" region in central bank of trees at the base of the mountain; possible 3 x 5" region in sky of upper right corner.
