    Condition Report*: Wax re-lined and re-varnished canvas with overall craquelure, commensurate with age; several tiny paint chips in lower left black shirt; under UV examination, newer regions of in-painting (fluorescing dark purple):  slight in-painting along lower left edge and 1" area of in-painting in lower right corner; flecks of in-painting on the sitter's nose and strengthening of chain; older regions of in-painting (beneath varnish layer):  in-painting in background of oval, in lower right shirt, and flecks on the face. Framed Dimensions 37 X 32 Inches
