    This painting was reproduced on page 56 of the March 1957 issue of Playboy magazine in an article entitled "The Vargas Girl" and marks the first appearance of any Vargas work in Playboy (the first Playboy Vargas Girl would not appear until September 1960). The five-page article included a biography of the artist and several examples of his work.

    Condition Report*: Light smudging around frame edges; scattered areas of faint foxing; otherwise visually in very good condition. Not examined outside of frame. Framed under plexi-glass to an overall size of 28.25 x 36.25 inches.
