    A GEORGE II JAPANNED QUARTER-STRIKING TALL CASE CLOCK, Isaac Nickals of Wells, Norfolk, England, circa 1740

    The clock with large rectangular brass movement and three trains, with days, months, moon phase, repeat and strike features, and a 5" diameter single bell for hours, three graduated stacked secondary bells for quarter hours, with center second hand and Roman numerals to clock face with an Arabic five minute increment border, moon phase to arch inscribed Tempus Reum, IMPERATOR, with pendulum and winding key, the case is decorated with chinoiserie figures in landscapes throughout.

    Condition Report*: Door is not flush to the body of the clock, missing knot of wood to the clock's verso, slight rubbing of gilt, otherwise yellowing of paint and surface wear commensurate with age. Clock is currently not in working order.  Heritage does not guarantee the working order of clock mechanisms.
