    Rago Arts and Auction Center, Lambertville, New Jersey, May 4, 2019, lot 71;
    Acquired by the present owner from the above.

    According to noted Parrish scholar Alma Gilbert Smith, this lot is an early example of the artist's work, likely executed during or shortly after Parrish's Haverford years. Parrish was experimenting with signatures at that time, hence the drawing is inscribed "F" for Fred, the artist's given name.

    Condition Report*: Framed under glass. Mat staining; Toning due to age; 1 inch loss of board on the extreme center edge, noticeable out of frame; two inch loss of board, located in upper left corner chip; Scattered pinpoint size spots of soiling throughout; Moderate edgewear, including a small tear on the extreme right edge, noticeable out of frame.
