The main offering bowl is decorated with openwork panels and series of small dots and applied lines, the long handle terminating with a molded rattle snake head with the split tongue exposed. The piece is crafted of exceptionally thin clay and would have been used strictly for ceremonial purposes by high ranking priests as they presented various offerings to the gods, including incense or sacrificial victim's organs. The piece is reconstructed from original parts with matching overpaint and appears intact and excellent. This lot requires third party shipping.
