    PROVENANCE:
    The artist;
    Estate of the above;
    San Francisco Art Exchange, 1985;
    Private collection, acquired from the above.

    This illustration was reproduced on page 19 in Vargas by Alberto Vargas and Reid Austin, 1978 as well as on page 27 in Vargas by Benedikt Taschen, 1990.

    750 numbered Lithographs created from this original were printed and sold by the Vargas Estate in the 1980's.

    A certificate of authenticity from the San Francisco Art Exchange accompanies this lot.

    Condition Report*: Light overall paper discoloration; thin inconsistent horizontal lines of discoloration in lower portion of work, most notably running through figure's belly button; a thin vertical approx. 1 inch line of discoloration near center left edge; signature is possibly  strengthened with ink - pencil signature partially visible beneath; framed and matted to 36 x 29.75 inches.
