Description
A SIOUX QUILLED HIDE COLLAR AND NECK TIEc. 1920
each decorated with three-leaf clovers in natural and dyed porcupine quills, edged with green seed beads
Lengths: 15 inches each
Condition Report*:
In overall good to very good condition. Collar: hide with moderate use, including moderate soiling. Red fabric with moderate soiling, separation and fraying around perimeter near green beading. Calico fabric with moderate soiling. Quilling is bright, with some losses and abrasion. Two sections with green seed bead loss, the larger being approx. 1-3/4." Necktie: Back hide with moderate wear. Quilling with fading, abrasion, and minor loss. Loss of approx. 3/4" of green seed beads around perimeter of top tie. Back lining with some soiling. Wired neck apparatus' cloth covering has stains and splits. No apparent restoration.
