Description
A Sioux Beaded Hide Tipi Bagc. 1900
hide, dyed porcupine quills, glass seed beads, sinew
Width: 20 inches
Condition Report*:
In overall very good condition. Hide with one L-shaped tear along the bottom edge, each leg approx. 1" in length, and two smaller adjacent tears. Two other tears, one, approx. 3/4" in length, near the bottom, and the other, approx. 1/2" in length along the top edge (hidden by over flap). Otherwise hide with some soiling. Beadwork intact, but with some soiling. Metal cone tassels missing. Small amount of rust left where metal cones were once attached to the top flap. Hide ties missing. No apparent restoration.
