A SIOUX BEADED HIDE HAND BAGc. 1890
sinew sewn and lane-stitched in various shades of glass seed beads, decorated with geometric elements, metal fittings and commercial leather strap
Length: 11 inches
Condition Report*:
In overall good condition. Hide with usual wear, including light-to-moderate soiling. Metal clasp in working order. Chipping to metal frame. Leather strap has cracking. Beads soiled, loose in spots, and with minor losses, including approx. 1" x 1" section on bottom. Interior lining fairly clean. No apparent restoration.
