Description

A PLATEAU BEADED LEATHER SHOT POUCH

c. 1890

the overflap with contour beaded floral element in various shades of glass seed beads against a blue beaded ground

Length: 10 inches excluding strap

Condition Report*: Overall good. Leather with moderate wear and moderate soiling and approx. 2 tears, one approx. 2 inches long, the other approx. 1 inch long with other nicks and scratches. Cloth lining stained with approx. 3 small holes approx. 1/8 inch diameter. Beadwork with minor loss. Leather strap broken off at one end. Beaded panel may have originated as a flat bag.
