DescriptionNWA 13087 Meteorite - Main Mass
This outstanding specimen consists of the Main Mass of the meteorite NWA 13087 found in 2018 and represents the largest extant piece of the Eucrite-pmict. This achondrite stone weighs a rather sizable 320 grams and offers a wonderful luster to a dark fusion crust which covers the majority of its artistic form. Sections of the granular interior protrude through the skin, and one smooth polished "window" where a testing sample was cut off provides an intriguing look into the core of the rare example. The natural surface evidences numerous contours and some "antique" cracking which all combine to result in one aesthetically appealing meteorite. This is an ideal collector piece especially for HED fans. The cut and studied sample accompanies this meteorite.
