    Variscite, Crandallite & Wardite Slice
    Little Green Monster Variscite Mine
    Clay Canyon, Fairfield
    Oquirrh Mountains, Utah Co.
    Utah, USA

Little Green Monster Variscite Mine is the TYPE locality for Variscite specimens. This stunning slice yields from said locality and has been highly polished on both faces. The primary face has dark sections of Variscite surrounded by thick bands of yellow Wardite and Crandallite. There is even a "Bull's-Eye" in one of the segments adding more appeal to this phosphate-based mineral. The locality is exhausted, and, in fact, all material seen on the market is the result of 'liberation' from old collections, just like this example, which has come out of two older collections. This top-example is complete and in excellent condition with a superb polish.
