    Trilobite Fossil
    Pseudocryphaeus minimus

The country of Morocco is well known for having produced numerous varieties of Trilobites, including many collectible specimens. This is an excellent example of Pseudocryphaeus which is recognizable by the pronounced rostrum projecting from the top of the cephalon. This specimen is complete, and the various parts of the ancient marine creature including the appendages are intact. The finish is natural and rustic unlike many that are over treated. This black prehistoric arthropod has not been prepared with "shoe black" or enhancement agents which would actually alter the specimen. The complex eyes, a defining characteristic for the Trilobites, are well-defined with tactile eye facets guarding the vision center. The elegant fossil "bug" is perched crawling over a raised promontory on the stark matrix rock which is smooth but with a patchy surface. This is a fine example of a Moroccan Trilobite and a collector grade specimen. The fossil has good size and a nice aesthetic. The segments of the three lobes are well-preserved and prominent on the piece.
