    Description

    Native Silver
    Hongda Mine, Xiaoqinggou Ag-Mn deposit
    Lingqiu County, Datong, Shanxi
    China

Attesting to the highly collectible nature of this nice specimen was the provenance of two of its past owners who each specialized in examples exemplified by this piece. It was once owned by legendary collector Gene Meieran who specialized in Silvers, and also graced the personal collection of Robert Lavinsky known for specializing in Chinese minerals. Out of the 'earlier' finds dating to a period from 2005 to 2010, the spectacular Native Silver boasts biological-like aesthetics and a thick robust aspect with an incredible overall visual appeal. Multi-toned wires extend upward from an intensely complex base resulting in superb aesthetic qualities, and this sizable example is unusually colorful, for a Silver.
    Measurements: 3.82 x 3.72 x 1.87 inches (9.70 x 9.44 x 4.74 cm), total weight 185 grams

Provenance: Ex. Private Collection, Ex. Robert Lavinsky Collection, Ex. Dr. Eugene Meieran Collection
