    Description

    Gemstone: Sapphire - 4.22 Cts.
    Australia

Australia is a world-leader for Sapphires. This stunning pear-shaped export has an excellent cut and polish with modified brilliant facets. The facets help to throw light around inside the stone highlighting the beautiful natural color-zoning. According to the accompanying GIA certification (#5192526512), the color is stated as "zoned blue and yellow" with no indications of heating. This type of color zoning is known as "Parti-Colored." These stones offer a natural polychrome Sapphire option, and this material is garnering attention as an alternative to the classic Diamond engagement ring. As one of the "Big Three" gems, this stone begs to be set into jewelry and worn often. There is one visible inclusion under the table and a few Rutile needles creating nice silk, but otherwise this gorgeous Sapphire is in excellent condition.
    Measurements: 13.32 x 8.16 x 5.10 mm, 4.22 cts.
