Gemstone: Pyrope - Spessartine Garnet - 5.79 Cts.

This nearly 6 carat Spessartine Garnet is gorgeous and has a very rare color. The main body color is a rich gray violet-purple and color changes slightly to a reddish-purple under incandescent light. The sizable Garnet is well cut and shows highly saturated and balanced color. This elongated cushion shape is accented with step cut faceting. The stone is eye-clean and in pristine condition. When magnified there are beautiful needle-like inclusions. When viewed under magnification there is also a minor feather breaking on the facet near the table.
Measurements: 11.36 x 9.61 x 6.22 mm, 5.79 cts.
