    Description

    Gemstone: Peridot - 94.86 Cts.

Peridot is coveted for its rich and uniquely singular greenish hue. This beautiful offering consists of one massive 94+ carat example featuring a chic cushion shape and an intense green bodycolor. The stone has been fashioned with a mixed cut, as the crown exhibits brilliant facets, and the pavilion exhibits step facets. The color is truly captivating and nicely saturated. Based on the hue, the gem appears likely to be from Myanmar (Burma). At the current time, origin determinations are not available - for Peridot - from any of the major gem identification services. For a larger stone, this fine example boasts an overall great condition. There is one small nick on the pavilion and one visible inclusion on the crown. Peridot is one of the unique varieties of gemstone that only forms in one color. Purer representations of that singular color, like this specimen, are the most coveted by collectors. The August birthstone never looked so good.
    Measurements: 25.76 x 23.17 x 18.25 mm, 94.86 cts.

It would indeed have been much simpler to work with a local auction house, and we had local options. But we never once regretted going with Heritage.
