    Description

    FLUORITE
    Ladywash Mine, Eyam
    Derbyshire, England
    UK
    2.64 x 2.27 x 1.85 inches (6.71 x 5.79 x 4.72 cm)

While the most famous Fluorites from England may be the classic green specimens from the renowned Rogerley Mine, this fine example of opaque yellow-white intergrown "cubes" sprinkled with many, tiny golden flecks of Pyrite need make no apologies. Nice form, interesting color, and unique association all converge to make this piece an intriguing and unique collectible specimen. The largest "cube" exceeds one full inch (2.54 cm) at its maximum dimension, and areas of the Fluorites are transparent, revealing aspects of the complex and reflective internal structure. This is simply one very cool Fluorite specimen.
